Different Ways To Cure Hemorrhoids

By James Briggs

Rectal veins, and those in the anus, are the cause of hemorrhoids. These veins swell and get inflammation. They can be very painful and itchy. They create irritation and cause considerable discomfort.

There are several methods to treat these hemorrhoids when they act up. You need patience as these cures take time because they are not immediate. But they will take care of the symptoms and provide you a measure of instant relief. You might have to experiment to see which one is the best for you.

1) Exercise - A critical step to eliminating hemorrhoids is to exercise. Just walking for thirty minutes, 3 or 4 times weekly, will make your hemorrhoids better quickly. This occurs because your blood circulates better when you perform exercise. Poor blood circulation in the veins causes hemorrhoids.

2) Fiber - Incorporate more fiber into your diet. Fiber is found in abundant quantities in whole grain products and vegetables. Fiber is a source of bulk and tends to soften stools. The hemorrhoids will be cured much faster.

3) Liquids - Drink a lot of water. Your stool will be loose with the use of water. This serves to avoid the condition of being constipated. Hard stool triggers your hemorrhoids.

4) Stay away from specific foods - keeping close tabs on your diet will help you control hemorrhoids. First, because extra weight triggers hemorrhoids. Your hemorrhoids can be aggravated by the consumption of certain beverages, such as water and beer. You should also cut out spicy foods from your diet.

5) Hemorrhoid Ointment - There are a few ointments sold in the store as a cure for hemorrhoids. Ointments must be used after each bowel movement. At times it might be necessary to apply them periodically during the course of a day. They aid by providing symptom relief and reducing the inflammation of the hemorrhoid.

6) Sitz Bath - Sitting in a tub with 3-4 inches of tepid water is also beneficial. With your knees up, just sit in the tub for awhile. Warm water facilitates an elevation of blood circulating to the inflamed region. It will limit swelling.

7) Icepacks - Position a sack of ice in the region of your posterior, and do this at least twice daily. These ice packs should be left on the area for about 15 - 20 minutes. This works to cause shrinkage of your hemorrhoids. It will also lessen the pain.

Hemorrhoids hurt and itch as well as causing embarrassment. There is always someone that you can go to for advice when you are sick. But it's embarrassing to seek assistance when you have hemorrhoids. However, it is important to understand that three-fourths of all Americans have also been plagued with hemorrhoids. Shyness has no place here. Just go ahead and get help. There's a good chance they've experienced the same thing. Then you can tell others about what worked for you.

These cures are all excellent. These have been proven to provide much-needed relief. However, not everything is effective for everyone. So you might have to try several things to find out what is best for you.
